The Symbiosis International (Deemed University) is globally acknowledged as one of the best educational institutions imparting quality education for over 30 years. Dr. M.S. Raste, the Vice Chancellor of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), is a renowned academician born and brought up in Pune. A student of the prestigious St. Vincent's High School, he later studied at Nowrosjee Wadia College, completing his L.L.B from Symbiosis Society's Law College and his Masters in Law and Ph.D. from University of Pune.

He began his career as a lecturer in Symbiosis Society's Law College. He was a member, and later the Chairman, of the Board of Studies in Law. He has also been the Dean of the Faculty of Law as well as a member of the Academic Council, Senate Board of Examinations, and other committees of the University of Pune.

A hard core academician, an eschewed administrator... and even today, as his students say, "He is still a part of us!"

The M.Sc. Programme, offered by the Institute subjects the students to an overall transformation, training them to be better professionals, and also better human beings. The rigorous syllabi does not only instill a passion for knowledge, but also attempts to teach them how to apply that knowledge to real-life situations. The programme lays emphasis on well-rounded personality development of the students and also in inculcating the values of teamwork and integrity in them.
