Symbiosis was established in 1971 with a vision, to promote the cultural and social exchange between the Indian and foreign students through education. Symbiosis stands by its motto ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ – the World is one family. Symbiosis provides education for everyone, right from Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary Schools to Postgraduate Degrees in multiple disciplines.
Symbiosis has over 1,00,000 students from 60 different countries. It has 37 institutes, 14 campuses and over 45,000 students on campuses. Most of the institutes of Symbiosis Society are constituents of Symbiosis International University , which has been recognized by the UGC and accredited with ‘A’ grade by the NAAC.
Symbiosis has planned to establish ‘Vishwa Gram'- a Global Village for Symbiosis International University - a unique campus. This dream will soon be realized at Lavale, off Bangalore-Mumbai Highway, on the outskirts of Pune.
