M.Tech in Geoinformatics

M.Tech Course
All India Council for Technical Education has given approval to Symbiosis Institute of Geoinformatics for starting M. Tech Programme in Geoinformatics w. e. f. the session 2012-13, with an intake of 18 students. The Institute intends to start this programme next year with the following details

1. Dates for various activities

• a. Last date for application: July 30, 2012
• b. Date of examination and admission: August 1, 2012
• c. Start of classes: August 16, 2012

2. Admission Process

• a. Preference will be given to GATE qualified candidates and admission of such candidates will be made on the merit in GATE.
• b. Non GATE qualified candidates will be selected based on the merit in an entrance test.
• c. Graduation in engineering stream / M.Sc. (Earth Sciences/ Life Sciences / IT / Geoinformatics) with 60% mark. 55% for SC / ST and International Students

3. Other Arrangements

• a. It is a full time programme and classes will be held on all working days.
• b. As per the convenience of the renowned visiting faculty, some classes will be held on Saturdays and Sundays.
