Development of a capable workforce is a major concern for continued growth of Geoinformatics Industry (Reference: 10 Years Industry Forecast carried out by The American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing).Surveys carried out in the above study indicate the following:-

Governmental and Private sector leaders declared a strong need for properly
educated and trained entry level employees.

Corporate officers cited shortage of trained workers emerging from educational programmes and lack of required skill sets among many graduates.
