Eligibility:

  • Graduates in Engineering, IT, Science, Computer Science, Agriculture, Environmental, Management, Geology, Geography and Commerce with a minimum of 50% marks.

  • Final year students awaiting results may also apply.

 

Selection Procedure:
  • Through SNAP Test.
    Snap test is conducted on the third Sunday in the month of December every year.
    The registration for SNAP test generally closes during the third week of November. For further details visit http://snaptest.org/
  • Candidates should procure the prospectus and application form of SIG. Based on performance in the SNAP test, selected candidates will be called for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD & PI).
  • GD & PI is held during March / April at Pune at a date to be notified later.
  • Last date for submission of forms for 2008-2010 batch is 20th Feb 2008.

Prospectus and application form are available in the institute’s office on payment of Rs. 1350/- in cash for Indian Students. For home delivery by courier, kindly send a Demand Draft Payable at Pune for Rs. 1350/- in favour of ‘The Director, Symbiosis Institute of Geoinformatics’ at address mentioned below,

International Students

Admissions of all International students are done through The International Office of Symbiosis.

Undergraduate Level
Categories under International Students Admissions:


As an international student, you are eligible to apply as a Foreign National (FN) if you hold a Foreign Passport and have secured a minimum of 50% in your 10+2 examination.

As an international student, you are eligible to apply as a Person of Indian Origin (PIO) if you have a PIO card, and are a citizen of a country other than India; and have secured a minimum of 50% in your 10+2 examination.

As an international student, you are eligible to apply as a Non Resident Indian (NRI) if you have appeared for your last qualifying exam (equivalent to Indian 10+2) outside India.

Postgraduate Level Categories under International Students Admissions:

As an international student, you are eligible to apply as a Foreign National (FN) if you hold a Foreign Passport.

As an international student, you are eligible to apply as a Person of Indian Origin (PIO) if you have a PIO card, and are a citizen of a country other than India.

As an international student, you are eligible to apply as a Non Resident Indian (NRI) if you have appeared for your 10+2 examination outside India, and have appeared for your graduation either in India or outside India.

NOTE:

  • All students applying for Postgraduate level through this NRI category will have to appear for a Group Discussion and Personal Interview organized by the International Office.

  • All students applying for Postgraduate and Undergraduate level through this FN category will have to submit English Proficiency score
